News.

  • The Juvenile Club would like to thank everyone who contributed to their “Cash for Clobber” fundraiser. In total, we collected 320 bags. Special thanks to Menlo, Castlegar and Brierhill schools for assisting in the collection of the bags. Special thanks to PJ Higgins for doing the collecting.

A depleted Cashel team came a cropper in a tough battle with Loughrea 1-06 to 0-6. There were good displays from Darren Murphy in goals Robert Griffen in defence Jack Coyne and Martin Connolly in midfield with Padraig Creaven and Mathew Kilgannon doing best of the forwards. The Juvenile club and the U14s wish a speedy recovery to captain Andrew Connolly from injury.

The U11s had a great win over Turloughmore on Sunday last. Goals from Aaron Connolly and Darren Costello playing against the wind in the first half laid the foundations for victory.

The U12A ’s disappointed themselves losing narrowly to Clarinbridge but recovered well to beat Salthill/Knocknacarra later in the week. Best on the day were Thomas Kimball and Matthew Kilgannon with some of the other lads coming back to form.

The U12 second team had a great win over Clarinbridge with most of the U11’s playing. Best were Sean Neary, Thomas O’Connell, Marc Hanley and James Smith.

Both U12 teams played Oranmore/Maree on Tuesday in the City League and had comfortable victories. Best on the night for the U12A  team were Mark Gill, Cian Walsh, Stephen Coyne, Eamonn Fynn and Dominic Curley. Best for the 12B team were Mark and Gearoid Pollard, Cian Hynes,Ethan Connolly Caomhine Conway.
